A FOCUS ON EDUCATION
As advocates for Fellows Riverside Gardens, we seek not only to educate our members and the community about the Gardens that we support, but also about the world of horticulture in general. In an effort to achieve this goal, FFRG has begun a multi-faceted education project which we hope will prove useful to a wide audience. Below you will find a curated selection of valuable information on many aspects of gardening and nature, as well as a look into the wondrous collection of plant-life on display at Fellows.

Spring Plant Sale
SPRING PLANT SALE
The Spring Plant Sale is a product of hard work, time and passion from a dedicated group of volunteer experts, resulting in an outstanding weekend of fundraising. This group, the Spring Plant Sale Committee, works for months to personally select, grow, and care for the plants that are for sale each May. From roses to herbs, aquatic plants and tropicals, each volunteer has an area of expertise they focus on both prior-to and during the days of the event. You can find them in their respective areas, ready to offer assistance and answer any questions you may have about the plants for sale.

If you have a passion for plants and an interest in helping support the Gardens, consider joining the Plant Sale Committee! We are always welcoming new faces to join our mighty team of plant-lovers. Check out the video below to meet the volunteers and get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the preparation that went into the 2018 Plant Sale.
All proceeds from this event are donated directly to Fellows Riverside Gardens.
Andrews Horticulture Program
ANDREWS HORTICULTURE PROGRAM
The John and Doris Andrews Horticulture Certificate Program is a collaborative project between Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens and Mill Creek MetroParks that began in 2017 to offer an opportunity for horticulture education in our community. Besides playing a role in the concept and design of the program, FFRG provides all funding for program expenses, drawing from its John & Doris Andrews Memorial Education Endowment.
Visit the MetroParks website for more information on curriculum, upcoming classes, and how to register.

Garden Travel Tours
GARDEN TRAVEL TOURS
For over a decade, Friends have sponsored a series of Garden Travel Tours to horticultural destinations in our region. From Cleveland to Michigan to Niagara Falls, we've taken groups of gardening and travel enthusiasts to unique and amazing locations they may have otherwise not had the opportunity to visit. Our bus tours are casual and relaxed, yet include packed itineraries that offer the most to our travelers.

Admissions to all destinations, hotel accommodations for overnight stays, and all meals are included in the price of our trips.

Annual Members Meeting
ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING
Our Annual Members meeting, which occurs each year in early spring, is an informative evening intended to educate our members on the state of the organization and plans for the year, and also to introduce new board representatives.

Open Houses
SHOP IN THE GARDENS OPEN HOUSES
The Shop in the Gardens holds three special Open House events per year; Holiday, Spring and Fall. Each Open House offers an exclusive, members-only preview where Friends members receive an additional 10% off of their purchase, on top of the year-round 10% member discount. Our members are also treated to refreshments and snacks (and wine at the Holiday Open House!), an extra way for us to show our thanks. Memberships are available to purchase at the door of all Open House events.

. All funds raised at the Shop in the Gardens and during all Open House events are donated directly back to Fellows Riverside Gardens.
